Nefertiti, regina egiziana, sposa di Amenofi IV (Akhenaton)(XIV a.C.). Il suo nome "La bella è arrivata" ha fatto supporre per lungo tempo che fosse di origine straniera , ma è assai più probabile che fosse una giovane  nobile egiziana, La sua bellezza risplende ancora oggi nei suoi ritratti in rilievo e in sculture a tutto tondo. Tra i più famosi sono il busto in calcare dipinto  conservato a Berlino  e la testa incompiuta in quarzite rosa del Museo del Cairo.

Nefertiti, Egyptian queen, wife of Amenofi IV (Akhenaton) (XIV BC). Her name "The Beauty Has Arrived" has long led to the assumption that she was of foreign origin, but it is much more likely that she was a young Egyptian noblewoman. Her beauty still shines today in her portraits in relief and in sculptures in the round. Among the most famous of hers are the painted limestone bust preserved in Berlin and the unfinished pink quartzite head in the Cairo Museum.
